Hot Stone Massage is extremely relaxing and loved by clients, as the heat from the basalt stones encourages tense muscles to release and effectively reduces stress and tension. Using hot stones means less strain is placed on the therapist’s hands.

Entry requirements

It is a pre-requisite of this course that you must hold a recognised qualification in  body massage (VTCT/ITEC/C&G/GTi or similar). This should include anatomy and physiology. Photocopied evidence of this should be sent with enrolment forms and fees.

Duration of course

This is a one day workshop, running from 10am - 5pm. Assessment will be ongoing throughout the day - there are no exams.

Course fee

£150 for one-to-one tuition. You will need to bring somebody with you to practise on and the course duration may be shorter.

Accreditation

On successful completion of the workshop you will be presented with a Hot Stone Massage Diploma. This is recognised and accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists. You will then be able to update your insurance and practice professionally.

Additional information

  • All course materials, couches, towels, oil etc will be provided
  • Please bring a packed lunch with you - food is not available at the venue. Tea, coffee, herbal teas and biscuits will be provided
  • Please wear suitable therapy uniform and flat/low heeled shoes
